Woman found dead in Delta Governor’s LGA
The remains of a young woman have been discovered along Owa Aliosimi/Abraka road in the volatile Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
WuzupNigeria reports that Ika North East, a volatile area in Delta, is the council area of the incumbent governor of the state, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.
WuzupNigeria further reports that there were insinuations that the unidentified woman may have been strangled to death by bandits.
It was gathered that the woman was returning from the farm when her assailants swooped on her.
Ika North East LGA has reportedly been under siege by hoodlums who carry out their nefarious activities unabated. Indigenes and residents have cried out several times over the safety of their lives as a day hardly passes by without the report of one crime or the other.
Nobody has come out to lay claim to the lifeless body as at the time of filing this report, even as the State Police Command was yet to get details.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, however, promised to get back to our correspondent shortly.
