Former Big Brother Naija Housemate Kemen has schooled fans on why last respects are given to the dead instead of the living.

This is coming after the likes of Soso Soberekon had accused colleagues, celebrities, and Nigerians that they never reached out to the late Sound Sultan.

Kemen took to his Instagram stories to write that the attention accorded to the dead is because it is a one-off which is why it is called, the “last respect”.

He said, “The love, attention, and respect accorded to the dead can only be accorded to the dead because it is a one-off, it’s called “last respect”. You can’t give such to the living cos it’s not sustainable. Don’t mistake this reality for some selfish emotional bais.”
