Why I will no longer grant interviews – Actor Wole Ojo
Nollywood actor, Wole Ojo, has vowed not to grant any more interview to the Nigerian media.
In a series of Instagram posts, he disclosed how a recent interview that he granted to The Sun NG got twisted by bloggers.
According to the Maami actor, he honestly said ‘yes’ when the reporter asked if he can marry a woman much older.
“But I was surprised to see a twisted narrative from another blogsite,” he bemoaned.
He expressed his disappointment while addressing his 136 thousand Instagram followers by uploading a screenshot of Instablog’s reportage of the story with the headline ‘Why I Want To Marry A Couger’ alongside the initial report.
Reacting to the story, the actor vowed that he would not grant interviews any longer after reportedly receiving criticism online.
“Just for your own benefit you mislead many! Set 100s against a hard-working individual, because you want to spin a story to give you maximum reach… om0000! This life hard-core mehn! Anyways e nor hard… back to no granting interviews! It’s not that deep!”
The actor said that he was equally sad that people didn’t verify the story before making comments.
“The most fascinating thing about this matter is that most people blasting me never took time to actually check out the real interview online. Lazy? I mean Google is a couple clicks away. Or are we just desperate for foul news?” he lamented.
