VIDEO: Boy caught casting vote for Laycon at Dorathy’s voting centre
As the BBNaija reality TV show reaches its final stages, fans of the show have started to do everything possible to ensure that their favourite housemate emerges winner of the N85 million grand prize money.
The contestants left in the BBNaija house are Laycon, Dorathy, Neo, Vee and Nengi, after the eviction of Ozo and Trikytee last Sunday.
To ensure that Dorathy emerges winner of the show, her fans gathered to cast their votes at a voting centre put together for her.
A young boy who showed up at the venue and pretended to be part of the mission for Dorathy was caught casting his vote for Laycon.
This angered the people at the venue who tried to bounce him as seen in the viral video below.
Meanwhile, journalist Kemi Olunloyo has spoken against the trend which sees celebrities paying people to vote for BBNaija housemates.
Every BBNaija reality TV show season sees some celebrities take to the streets with recharge cards which they give to people whom they influence to vote for the particular housemate they are rooting for.
This trend has been condemned by Kemi Olunloyo who took to Twitter to advise people to use their own money to vote instead of allowing a celebrity to influence them.
“Nobody needs financial assistance to VOTE on #BBNaijaLockdown2020 STOP that fraudulent behavior. If you like a contestant, vote with your money not a celebrity paying you to vote. It is this nonsense attitude that messed up Nigeria. Politicians paying you to vote for them,” she tweeted.
