Tyson Fury’s newborn daughter in ‘stable’ condition
Two-time world heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury, shared positive news on the health status of his newborn baby girl, Athena, who is in intensive care, following her birth on Sunday.
WuzupNigeria reported that the Gypsy King who holds the WBC and The Ring magazine titles since defeating Deontay Wilder in 2020, asked his fans to pray for Athena, his sixth child with his wife, Paris who was in labour for almost two days.
“Please can everyone pray for my baby girl who was born this morning? Athena Fury born 8/8/21,” Fury told his 4.4 million Instagram followers on Sunday.
However, in an update shared on Monday, the British pugilist said that his wife Paris is also doing well and remained hopeful that baby girl Athena will be able to come out of the intensive care unit (ICU) at some point today but asked all of his fans to “keep her in their prayers”.
He said: “Massive thanks for all the messages and support. The baby is in a stable position & doing well hopefully, she comes out of ICU today(sic).
“Please keep baby Athena in your prayers. Paris is doing great. God bless.”
Hours before giving birth, Paris shared footage from the hospital delivery room showing Tyson watching a fight on his phone, according to ManchesterEvening.
“Even in this situation he’s watching the boxing,” she captioned the clip in her Instagram stories.
Fury and Paris who announced they were expecting their sixth child together in February are already parents to two girls, Venezuela, 10, and Valencia, three.
The couple also shares four sons and Prince John James, eight, Prince Tyson II, four, and Prince Adonis Amaziah, 12 months.
