Twitter on fire as fans debate who is better between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dani Alves
Following the astonishing display of footballing skills, passes and crosses by Trent Alexander-Arnold, when Liverpool thrashed Leicester City 4-0 in their Premier League encounter on Thursday, some Twitter users have posited that the English right-back is better than Brazilian and Barcelona Legend Dani Alves.
Their opinions have, however, generated anger on the microblogging platform with many calling those supporting Alexander-Arnold, Twitter Shenanigans.
According to them, though the Liverpool’s number 66 is VERY GOOD, it is a disrespect to compare him with the Brazillian who currently plies his trade with São Paulo FC.

I’m not one to be afraid to hype current players or make comparisons but Trent is not yet near the level of Dani Alves. Please, stop comparing. Not saying he’s not good, far from it as he’s the best right now but he’s not Dani Alves. Just enjoy him and stop comparing.

We witnessed the greatness of Lahm, Alves and Mercelo.
It’ll take Arnold years to come anywhere near these legends.— Principino (@AhmadJaafaru) December 27, 2019
Marcelo & Alves literally played with a blank canvas whilst fulfilling their roles. Trent’s nothing like that. His team consistently gets him into positions to cross. Just like KDB. Stop letting the legends down man

TAA is the best crosser I’ve seen in years, but nothing else in his game comes close to Alves. Alves redefined the fullback role, and could do absolutely everything. https://t.co/usH57bMDTk

Alves had 100 assists for Barcelona and was instrumental, offensively and defensively, in winning 6 league titles and 3 Champions League titles. Please behave. https://t.co/zExOOyBNtJ
