THEY SHOULD BE SUSTAINED! IGP Idris says SARS officers are doing a very wonderful job [Video]
The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has commended the Special Anti-Robbery Squad operatives amid calls that the unit is scrapped.
Speaking to newsmen recently, Idris was asked to comment on the #EndSARS campaign and he said it cannot be scrapped.
Idris said that SARS should be sustained adding that the Force is working to ensure that SARS operatives are properly trained and equipped.
The IGP said,
“You see you have to be careful about this clamouring, you know I remember you know social media is a technology…
“It is technology available to those that are criminally minded…
“SARS is a unit of the police that I believe should be sustained.
“I have to tell you that they (SARS) are doing a very wonderful job.”
