There’s an attempt to hijack #EndSARS movement – Segalink
Human right activist, Segun Awosanya aka Segalink has said that there is an attempt to hijack the EndSARS movement.
EndSARS is a campaign against police brutality which has led to a series of protests across Nigeria.
The protesters have forced the government to disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, which they accused of brutalizing citizens.
Segalink who is believed to have started the campaign said that those who were against it are now demonizing him in an attempt to hijack it.
He tweeted:
“The attempt to hijack the #EndSARS #ReformPoliceNG Movement by known elements who were against it from day one and had to be a part now for fame & earnings is not surprising. They felt they can demonize me & take ownership by force. But they’ll fail again as always.”
