Suspected herdsmen kill 30-year-old man in Plateau
A 30-year-old man has been confirmed dead after he was attacked by gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Wakili Ayuba was killed at Hukke village in the LGA on Saturday.
Reports said Wakili was on his way home from Ancha community in Miango district of the LGA when he was attacked by the gunmen who had laid ambush for him around 7pm.
It was further learnt that before Wakili’s murder, he had lost his pregnant wife in a similar attack by the gunmen who killed her while on the farm in June this year.
The President of the Miango Youth Development Association, Mr Zongo Lawrence, confirmed the development to our correspondent in Jos on Sunday.
Lawrence said,
“Wakili Ayuba, aged 30, was ambushed by suspected Fulani militias and killed on October 12, 2019 in the evening around 6.40pm at Hukke on his way home to Ancha in Miango District of Bassa LGA in Plateau State.”
