Singer walks out of live radio show after Buhari’s spokesman told him to “shut up” (video)
Dede Mabiaku, an activist and a prominent band member of the late Fela Anikulapo’s Afrobeat band, would not take insult from anyone. The video opens with President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman, Femi Adesina speaking into the microphone in the studio of Lagos Talk, 91.3 FM. After Adesina’s talk, Dede was prompted to respond but he refused. Instead, he protested having been insulted by the media aide. He said Adesina asked him to “shut up” while the moderator/presenter upheld the decision.
Dede then told the presenter to play the tape back or he would leave. He promptly removed the headset and stormed out of the studio.
