Singer Temmie blames Nigeria for personality disorder, depression

Nigerian singer, Temmie Ovwasa has said the country is responsible for the mental and physical illnesses she is battling.

She listed the illnesses on her social media handles and lamented that she had to go through these difficult situations even though she had not turned 25 years of age.

In a Twitter post on Sunday, Temmie said, “Thank you Nigeria for giving me a personality disorder, anxiety, depression, cptsd, high blood pressure, self-harm scars, dissociation, depersonalization, a sleeping pill addiction due to insomnia, and an inability to function as an emotionally stable adult, before the age of 25.”

Temmie was introduced to the record label, ‘Yahoo Boy No Laptop Nation’, popularly known as YBNL in 2016.

Her first single, ‘Jabole’, with the record label, hit the No. 1 spot on iTunes within a day of its release.

She was also nominated as the Artiste of the year at the Naija Music Awards.

Other singles associated with the singer are; “Jabole,” “Afefe,” “Bamidele,” and more.
