Sacked BBC presenter: Only an insane person describes a baby as a chimpanzee, Fani Kayode reacts
Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described sacked BBC presenter Danny Baker as a sociopath full of inherent evil over his derogatory tweet about the newly-born British royal baby.
Fani-Kayode wondered why any sane person would describe a newly-born baby as a chimpanzee.
WuzupNaija reports that BBC announced on Thursday that it has fired the 61-year-old presenter who tweeted an image of a chimpanzee dressed in clothes with the caption “Royal Baby leaves hospital’’.
A recalcitrant Baker while also announcing his sack tweeted, “Just got fired from @bbc5live. For the record – it was red sauce. Always.”
The former minister, who took to Twitter on Thursday to react to report of the presenter’s sack, said he does not only deserve to be fired but also ought to be prosecuted.
Fani-Kayode in his reaction said the presenter’s tweet is proof that racism is rife in the United Kingdom.
He claimed Baker does not appreciate the damage his sentiments have done to race relations in the UK.
He wrote,
“Danny Baker’s comments about the newly-born royal baby proves that racism is alive and well in the UK. He doesn’t only deserve to be fired from the
@BBC, he also deserves to be prosecuted for his shameless display of racism. How can any sane person describe a baby as a chimpanzee?”“The most disgusting aspect of Danny Baker’s brand of racism is the fact that he does not appreciate the damage that his deplorable sentiments have done to race relations in the UK.
“There is something sociopathic and inherently evil about a man that can hate a newly-born a baby.”
