Renowned Nigerian artist Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, fulfilled his pledge to donate 100 million naira for Christmas in the Surulere and Makoko areas of Lagos.

Wizkid had previously announced his intention to contribute a sum of 100 million naira to children in various regions of the country for Christmas.

He mentioned that the generous donation was in honor of his late mother, Mrs. Juliana Morayo Balogun, who passed away on August 18th, 2023, in London.

In a video circulating on social media, the singer is seen shirtless area accompanied by his security personnel, where he generously spayed huge cash to the delight of the gathered crowd.

Netizens shared their reactions on social media, with some expressing joy and gratitude, while others raised concerns about the manner of distribution.

Although the specifics of how the funds would be distributed were not disclosed,
