Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Lagos, has warned the Federal Government about a looming crisis in the country over food scarcity and the growing insecurity in the country.

The cleric, in a statement to the president, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), revealed that he foresees a massive protest that will shut the country down. He noted that the Nigerian economy would go bad and serious food scarcity is imminent.

He explained that these can be averted only if the government hastily works on the unsecured state of the country.

“Nigeria is going to be in a bad shape of economy if Government doesn’t take insecurity and killings seriously. I am seeing food scarcity.  It will be very serious,” he said. “As a result of this, I am seeing a massive protest that will shut Nigeria. It will be so severe that nobody will be able to go out for their day to day activities. The government will be shut down.

“I see crisis because there will be hardship that will affect every sector.”

The cleric also gave some prophecy regarding the 2023 general elections in Nigeria and the political scene in the neighbouring Republic of Benin.

According to him, Nigeria would become broke and the country’s increasing debt profile would affect the ruling All Peoples Congress (APC) chances in the elections.

Ayodele also spoke briefly about the 2023 election, stating that the All Progressives Congress will not have t it easy because of the current happenings in the country.

“I don’t see the party getting it easy in 2023,” Primate Ayodele said. “What I see is very serious. Nigeria has not experienced anything yet.

“The economy will go bad. This will affect banks and state government finances. The people ruling Nigeria have misled and mismanaged the resources. There are some things that will be exposed in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

“There will still be an attack on government convoy.

“Buhari needs prayers. I see very serious confusion in the Villa. It’s a very serious one that will be exposed to the world.”

On Benin Republic, the cleric said there would be political tension in the tiny West African nation.

He said: “In Benin Republic, there will be political tension, which the present government will battle all the opposition. Prayers needs to be done there to avert the death of a one-time president. I see chaos and instability there.”
