Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Saturday morning in the Gudu area of the Federal Capital Territory stormed the area and fired tear gas at June 12 protesters.

The protest began around 08:30 am and was going on peacefully with the youths expressing their dissatisfaction with the state of the nation when the policemen struck.

Recall that the Police had advised citizens to stay away from any act that could jeopardise the efforts of the security operatives in ensuring the safety of lives and properties of the citizens.

The protesters, who chanted “Buhari must go”, “Say no to injustice”, amongst other solidarity phrases, scampered to safety when the security operatives started shooting.
