The Lagos State Police Command says it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a lady who died after lodging in a hotel with her lover.

The deceased simply identified as Esther, was said to have spent a night with her boyfriend, Emmanuel Isibor, at T1 Suites in the Festac area of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area.

However, the romance degenerated into a nightmare when Esther suddenly took ill and in the process, started foaming from her mouth and nostrils.

Attempts by Isibor and hotel staff to revive Esther failed as the doctor at a nearby hospital pronounced her dead on arrival.

The PUNCH reported that the undisclosed manager of the hotel alerted security operatives at the Festac Police Station.

“What happened on May 31, 2021 was that around 11.30pm, the manager of T1 Suites, Obijomi Adedeji, reported that one of the lodgers, Emmanuel Isibor, came with his girlfriend, Esther.

“But around 11pm, Emmanuel Isibor called on the manager for assistance as the lady developed a sudden ailment, which caused foamy substances to come out from her mouth and nostrils.

“She was rushed to the First Line Hospital, where a doctor pronounced her dead,” a source said.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that “the case was reported to us and we are still investigating it.”
