Police bust criminal hideout, arrests 41 suspects in Kano
The Kano State Police Command has announced a significant breakthrough in its ongoing efforts to combat crime across the state, following a series of successful raids on criminal hideouts and black spots within the Kano metropolis.
This development comes as part of the Command’s adherence to directives from the Inspector-General of Police, which emphasizes round-the-clock visibility patrols to enhance public safety.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Kiyawa, confirmed the arrest of 41 suspects and the recovery of dangerous weapons and intoxicating drugs.
The raids targeted areas of public concern and were executed as part of an intelligence-led policing strategy under the leadership of Commissioner of Police , Dogo.
“I deeply appreciate the public’s support as all forms of crimes are reducing drastically,” said CP Dogo.
“This achievement is a testament to the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the good people of Kano State.”
The Command highlighted that the success of these operations reflects a broader trend of declining crime rates in the state, largely attributed to the cooperation and support of law-abiding citizens.
CP Dogo assured Kano residents of the Command’s unwavering dedication to protecting lives and property. He also urged the public to continue providing timely and accurate information to assist in the ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal activities in the state.
In case of emergencies, residents are encouraged to contact the Command via the following dedicated lines: 08032419754, 08123821575, or 09029292926.
