Two men, Adefutu Kehinde, 37, and Familola Oluwaseun, 25, on Wednesday appeared before an Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court for alleged possession of six goats.
The defendants, whose addresses were unknown, are facing a charge of possession of she-goats, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp Johnson Okunade, told the court that the defendants committed the offense on April 16 at about 1:15 a.m. in Aisegba Ekiti.

Counsel to the defendants, Mr. Toyin Oluwole, urged the court to grant his clients bail with the promise that they would not jump bail.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Olanike Adegoke, in her ruling, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until May 13 for mention.
