President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly met with some senators including Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate president who is from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Although details of the meeting were unknown as at the time of filing this report, it was gathered that the meeting was between President Buhari and the leadership of the Nigerian Senate barely one week after rejecting his proposal to borrow $29.9 billion from external sources, making it Nigeria’s largest ever borrowing.

Photos shared by Femi Adesina, the president’s special adviser on media and publicity showed the lies of Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to the president; Sam Egwu, among other senators at the parley.
