PDP chieftain arraigned over Aborode’s death
Pa Olawuwo, an 80-year-old chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Igangan, has been charged with the murder of Dr Fatai Aborode.
The Punch reports that Olawuwo was arrested and taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department Iyaganku in Ibadan.
Olqwuwo has since been charged and remanded in police custody by the court, according to the Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi.
“Yes, he has been charged to court and remanded in Police custody,” the PPRO said.
Further reports revealed that the octogenarian politician and Aborode were from the same constituency and some of his followers who went to where he was detained were not allowed to see him.
