The founder of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Agbara, Ibadan, Pastor Michael Ojo Olowere, who passed away in July at the age of 100, was honoured with a Christian Wake keep and service of songs on Friday in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo state.
The event, which took place at the main bow of Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba Ibadan, was attended by many prominent Christian leaders.
Some of them are; the President of Christ Apostolic Church Nigeria and Overseas, Pastor Samuel Oladele, his predecessor, Pastor Abraham Akinosun, the General Evangelist of CAC, Pastor Hezekiah Oladeji, the presiding Bishop of Victory International Church, Ibadan, Bishop Taiwo Adelakun, Evangelist Bola Are, Evangelist Bisi Alawiye Aluko, Lady Evangelist Racheal Olowere, Pastor Olatoye Ojo and others.
The Regional Superintendent of CAC, Pastor Gabriel Dada, who preached at the event, said that death is the way to heaven.
He urged Christians to draw closer to God and to realize that everything in life is temporary. He praised the late pastor as a man who devoted his life to God and humanity.
He said, “There is nothing in this world because all these things we are seeing are for the meantime. The moment God commands death to take life, it takes it immediately”.

He said, “I have known Baba for quite a number of years. He is someone who is always interested in the welfare of people around him. He believed in the development of human race.”
