A Lagos pastor, Feyi Daniels, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a female church member by an Ikeja sexual offences and domestic violence court on Thursday.

The founder of I Reign Christian Ministry, Ikota, Lekki, was found guilty of both rape and sexual assault against the victim, who was a member of his congregation.

Daniels, who is also a prophet, was investigated by the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Lagos, where at least two of the victims made statements.

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team was also involved in the matter.

The case file was forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions last year, and the legal advice was issued in December 2022.
