Oyedepo warns those rejecting God’s order in church, family

In Oyedepo's Church, graduate pastors receive N38,000 as salary — Another pastor recounts ordeal

Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Church has warned those who reject God’s order in the church or in the family.

In a post on his official Twitter handle, Oyedepo said that those who practise such are playing with fire.

He advised them to accept the leadership placed over them in church and in their family just as they have done at work.

Oyedepo tweeted:

“Thinking ill against any leadership set over you is tearing down your own heritage. If you have accepted the leadership set over you at work; then stop playing with fire by rejecting God’s order in the Church or in the family.”

Back in January, Oyedepo dismissed some officials for allegedly stealing from his church’s treasury.

While making the announcement, the clergyman expressed shock that accountants could be perpetrating fraud in the house of God.

He said,

“We had no choice but to dismiss them. You can imagine top church officials engaging in doubling figures and other dubious practices. After we dismissed them, we discovered more fraud.”

“Those who should discover the fraud were the ones involved in it. One of them refused to confess until the last minute. Can you imagine accountants perpetrating fraud in the house of God?

“Don’t employ them, don’t sympathise. Whoever sympathises with the wicked is wicked himself. Don’t sympathise with any perpetrator of fraud, otherwise, you are a partaker of the evil act.”
