Osimhen shines as Napoli edge Braga 2-1

Victor Osimhen was named Player of the Match as Napoli opened their Champions League campaign with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Braga.
The Nigerian striker was a handful for the Braga defence all evening and did everything but score, hitting the post twice, the bar once and being denied one-on-one.
Osimhen was also key to both Napoli goals, the first coming after a cross aimed in his direction could only be semi-cleared, the second from a cross again aimed in his vicinity.
It may have been a frustrating night for Osimhen personally, but he ensured the defenders trying to contain him had a worse one.
Napoli’s captain, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, scored the winning goal in added time, with Sikou Niakate scoring an own goal for the visitors.
Braga did equalise through Bruma in the 84th minute, but they could not find a second equaliser and succumbed to defeat.
The win takes Napoli top of Group C, with Braga bottom.
