Oritsefemi’s former music partner Chibudo Obinkwo aka Chi Junglist is reportedly ill and in a critical condition.

The duo, under the group – The Junglist Boys, started their music career at the famous Ajegunle area of Lagos, before parting ways in 2006.

Photos of the singer emerged on social media a few days ago as friends solicit support for him to seek medical help. His ailment could, however, not be ascertained.

An upcoming singer from Ajegunle, B’Clean, shared photos of Chi Junglist on Facebook. In the viral photos, the singer is looking lean and sickly in an area that looks like a slum.

B’Clean wrote:

“He’s in the MIDDLE his name is CHI-JUNGLIST he’s very SICK at the moment. We do not just need prayers, we also need money to help him. Let’s help!!! Thank you my people.”

The viral photos seem to have finally gotten to Oritsefemi as B’Clean has announced that the singer has taken over the treatment of his former colleague.

He wrote on his Facebook page:

“Femi has taken responsibility of his treatment. To you all who think I want to extort through him I am clean like my name implies. I just feel like to help a brother who we both suffer same challenges in the music industry.

“I can’t scam anyone not to talk of a sick colleague. We should learn how to be reasonable at times with our words. I am a public figure i don’t talk anyhow. bless us all.”

In 2006, ‘The Junglist Boys’ went solo following a disagreement between them. While Femi went ahead to release hit singles like ‘Elewon’, ‘Flog politicians koboko’, ‘Mercies of the Lord’, and albums that made him remain relevant in the music industry, not much was heard about Chi until 2017 when he reunited with Oritsefemi to release ‘MY STORY’ under Oritsefemi’s label, Money Stops Nonsense (MSN) Gang.
