One abducted as gunmen allegedly hijack school bus in Ondo
Gunmen on motorcycles on Thursday hijacked a school bus at Oba Ile Estate in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It is unclear how many pupils were on the bus as of the time of filing this report.
However, some eyewitnesses said pupils were inside the bus while others claimed that the only occupant was taken away by the hoodlums.
It was learnt the incident occurred around 6:45 am when the driver and his attendant went to pick up pupils of Chimola School.
The gunmen reportedly dragged the driver out of the vehicle and drove off, The PUNCH reported.
Ondo Police spokesman, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
