The Ondo State Police Command has apprehended two individuals in connection with the death of Abiodun Akintomowo in Ondo town.

Akintomowo reportedly died after engaging in a sexual encounter with a woman suspected to be his girlfriend at a hotel in the Akinjagunla area of the town on Sunday.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ondo State Police Command, SP Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, confirmed the arrests.

Although she did not disclose the identities of the suspects, she revealed that one of them was the deceased’s girlfriend, while the other was the hotel owner.

Omisanya stated, “The man (deceased) was not feeling alright after the sexual intercourse with the lady in the hotel, so he was rushed to the hospital and later died. The two suspects are still in our custody.”

The police spokesperson added that the investigation is ongoing, and the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue in a local hospital in the town.
