Nvidia Corp. is expanding its collaboration with South Korea’s LG Group, with the two companies set to work together on humanoid robotics and next-generation data center technologies, according to Nvidia Chief Executive Officer, Jensen Huang.
Speaking to reporters following a meeting with LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo at the conglomerate’s headquarters in western Seoul, Huang outlined plans for cooperation in robotics-related technologies.
The partnership will focus on combining expertise in motor technology and mechanical systems to advance the development of humanoid robots and future robotic applications.
“We are working with them in motor technology, as well as mechanical systems, so that we can bring together humanoid robotics and the future of robotics,” he told reporters after a meeting with LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo at the group’s headquarters in western Seoul.
Beyond robotics, the two companies are also collaborating on the design and architecture of future data centers. Huang said the partnership covers key areas including cooling technologies, power delivery systems, and overall facility planning as demand for advanced AI infrastructure continues to grow.
He added that Nvidia and LG are also working together on the architecture of future data centers, including cooling systems, power delivery and overall facility design.
“We are working to build future data centers together,” Huang said.
Koo highlighted the importance of deeper cooperation between the two companies as industries move toward broader adoption of artificial intelligence technologies. He said discussions focused on identifying areas where joint efforts could help drive innovation and accelerate the AI era.
Koo said the two sides discussed potential areas of cooperation to accelerate the artificial intelligence (AI) era.
“Today, we had extensive discussions about future directions with Nvidia, and I believe much more cooperation will be needed going forward to accelerate the AI era,” Koo said.
The announcement was made during Huang’s visit to South Korea, where he has been engaging with executives from major business groups and researchers. The trip is aimed at exploring new opportunities for collaboration in AI, robotics, and related advanced technologies as Nvidia continues to strengthen its presence in the region.
