Nigerian woman arrested in Italy for cocaine possession tries to shoot policeman

A Nigerian woman has been arrested in Italy after she allegedly ingested drugs and attacked a police officer in Trevisto City.

The Nigerian woman, who has been identified as Blessing Rapuruchukwu Okafor, was apprehended at the Treviso Airport after allegedly ingesting drugs and was taken by the officials to the hospital in a bid to evacuate them.

The 31-year-old  was said to have ingested 74 capsules of cocaine. It was also gathered that She is among the immigrants that earlier entered Italy through Libya using the Mediterranean Sea.

It was gathered that when the Nigerian woman reached the hospital, she asked to use the bathroom and was escorted by a police officer to watch her.

Moments later, the Nigerian woman allegedly attacked the police officer and took the gun from the holster.

According to the police, the Nigerian suspect tried to shoot the gun but it was on safety and didn’t fire. The police officer struggled to collect the gun back with the help of other security agents.

The suspect is currently in police custody.
