Popular Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage, has said that while Nigerian men know how to dress well and spend money, they are not romantic.
She shared her thoughts during a recent interview with GRM Daily’s Thoughts in a Culli, where she spoke openly about love, relationships, and what she wants in a man.
“Nigerian men do have swag but they are not really romantic when it comes down to it,” she said.
According to her, many Nigerian men know how to impress with money and style but fall short when it comes to showing love and affection in a deeper way.
“They know how to swag and splash cash but I’m not looking for that,” Tiwa added.
The Afrobeats star, who is often referred to as the Queen of Afrobeats, is currently promoting her new single, You4Me, a soft R\&B track that samples Tamia’s 1998 hit *So Into You*.
The song, produced by Mystro, talks about the sweet feeling of falling in love. Tiwa, who has written songs for international artists like Fantasia and Chrisette Michele, seems to be reconnecting with her R\&B roots.
