Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has charged Igbon people to learn how to trust the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

Kalu who represents that Abia North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, made the change on Thursday after a meeting with the leadership of his pro-groups, OUK Movement and Reality Organization at his Onu Ibina Igbere in Bende LGA country home.

“Igbos should learn how to trust Buhari. Igbos should believe in him. He is a disciplined leader,” he said, adding that people should not be judged as “leaders emerge from God”.

According to him, President Buhari has fully implemented the 2021 budget unlike what was obtained in the past and which has a lot of projects that will be of benefit to the entire Abia.

The PUNCH quoted the senator as saying that the president has done more projects in the southeast, including the Niger bridge, and many others and called for the unity and oneness of Nigeria, stating that the unity of Nigeria is very important as a country.

Speaking further the former Abia State governor bemoaned the predicament of pensioners and teachers in the state.

He said, “when I was the governor, teachers were being paid, pensioners we’re being paid”.

On his achievements as a governor, Kalu revealed that he has many cross-constituency projects which include roads in Ariaria and in Isialangwa, and empowerment of shoemakers in Aba, as well as the sinking of boreholes in other areas.

He further urged the pro-groups to go and sensitize and scout for members, assuring that he will back their candidates.
