Popular UK-based Nigerian relationship counselor, Sola Adio, has taken a jibe at fans of singer Naira Marley who also claimed to be Christians.

Adio said the two associations do not work together and described the group as a demonic movement, “you cannot be a Christian and also be a Marlian,” he said.

Fans of Naira Marley describe themselves as Marlians and profess some sayings many social media users believe promote immorality.

Some of their slogans include:

“Marlians don’t have manners, manners don’t graduate, marlians don’t use belt, No Belt Gang.” 

Adio’s condemnation of Christians who identify with the marlian gang was prompted by a viral video posted by Naira Marley a few weeks ago, where his fans were seen hitting the butt of a lady at a stripper’s club while dancing seductively to his “opotoyi” song.

In the video of the “opotoyi” song, video vixens were seen dancing naked and seductively.

Adio took to his Twitter page and wrote:

“Let’s be serious though. You cannot be a Christian and also be a Marlian. I actually blocked the Marley boy the day I saw RTs by some imbeciles and lunatics on my TL, of him slapping women’s back sides. It’s a demonic movement that can only be patronised by the demon possessed.”

As the tweet started riling up Marlians on Twitter, The relationship counselor added:

“I just got to the office and saw that my mentions are in a mess. I repeat, no Christian should associate with that nonsense of people slapping women’s asses on video. Your leader posted. Some idiots RT’d to my TL. I blocked him and his thugs. If you are offended, lagoon is there.

“Christian Twitter are actually toxic people. They are poor readers who don’t read to understand. They come at you hurriedly with bows and arrows portraying you as a sinner just because they chose to deliberately misunderstand and misrepresent you.

“The bible is clear. Let him that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. How can u have the Holy Ghost inside you and be comfortable with a demonic movement that slaps women’s buttocks on video? Are you not under demonic oppression laidis? Please don’t sell nonsense to me
