A yet-to-be-identified young man has reportedly died inside a collapsed soakaway pit in Delta State.

The incident was said to have happened at Karien Street in Okumagba Layout, Warri.

According to DAILY POST, the deceased immediately died as the pit collapsed inside a new compound built by a politician.

As of the time of filing this report, details of the incident is still sketchy.

Policemen from “B” Division in Warri have evacuated the remains of the deceased and deposited same in a morgue.

The Divisional Police Officer “B” Division in Warri, CSP Kelvin Ziokumor in a telephone chat said one John Asotu incidented the matter at the station, saying the property where it occurred belongs to his niece.

According to CSP Ziokumor, they were working when the pit collapsed and killed the young man.
