A yet-to-be-identified man has reportedly doused his estranged wife and two children with acid in Katsina State.

The man who is said to be a staff of one of the old generation banks carried out the dastardly act after divorcing his wife.

A social media user Idris Mohammed who shared photos of the woman and her children via his Twitter handle said the incident occurred at Dandume local government area of Katsina.

Mohammed alleged that there were attempts to cover up the case which prompted him to raise alarm and call attention to the woman’s plight via social media.

He tweeted:

“Let’s fight for the voiceless, they want o cover the case. Her husband did this merciless thing to her. After he divorced her, he then poured acid on her and the children. The bastard must to face trial.

“The victims are admitted in ABU Zaria teaching hospital. The perpetrator is a staff of union bank funtua branch.”
