LAST WARNING: Libel Oby Ezekwesili again and get sued! See why
Former Minister for Education and leader of the Bring Back Our Girls movement, Oby Ezekwesili, has called on media houses writing false stories then apologising thereafter to desist from the act as she will no longer treat the issue with kid’s gloves.
The former minister said she would sue whoever tries the shameful act next.
“We must compel our Media to interrogate for a New Normal. I shall sue and not accept any more apologies next time any libels/slanders me,” she tweeted.
The 53-year-old who revealed that she had received three apologies in three weeks for different slanderous articles from some Nigerian media houses took to her tweeter page on Tuesday to give the warning.
8. I accepted the apologies from @nigeriantribune & @daily_trust .
I RELUCTANTLY accept this 3rd one by @vanguardngrnews . IT IS THE LAST.— Oby Ezekwesili (@obyezeks) September 13, 2016
About two weeks ago, the former minister received apology letters from Daily Trust Newspapers and the Nigerian Tribune.

When Ezekwesili threatened to sue a third media house, for another libelious story in which a WhatsApp message purportedly belonging to her was quoted, she received another apology from Vanguard Newspapers on Monday.
After posting a link to the apology on her tweeter page, the former minister issued a stern warning to all other media houses, calling on the Guild of Editors, Publishers, Nigerian Union of Journalist and other stakeholders to be awake to their duties.
10. Is the DECAY in our MEDIA not obvious to the Guild of Editors? Is it not obvious to Nigeria Union of Journalists? How about Publishers?
