A Chicago-based woman, Valencia P. Love, who paid for R. Kelly’s bail, has reportedly received bomb threat at a daycare that is connected to her, law enforcement sources report.
Love had helped the singer meet bail by posting a $100,000 bond. She had also posted a lengthy statement afterwards, saying R. Kelly wasn’t a monster and that she was inclined to believe he’s innocent of the charges he’s facing.
The bomb threat is believed to have been made by someone pissed at Love for supporting R. Kelly.
A reporter with CBS Chicago reporter, Brad Edwards, broke the news on his verified Twitter handle. According to Edward, the Chicago Police Department has not arrested anyone and the anti-bomb has cleared the scene.
His tweets read;
“ONLY HERE: Saturday, multiple people called in a bomb threat to a daycare near W. 79th & Kedzie. The business is connected to the woman who posted R. Kelly’s $100k bond. PER CPD –
“No offender in custody. Bomb and arson cleared the scene. Area Central investigating.”
R. Kelly had surrendered himself to the authorities after charges of sexual assault was levelled against him. The 52-year-old singer pleaded not guilty to plea to all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.
The music icon is expected to return to court on March 22, 2019, where he will answer questions over sexual abuse allegations levelled against him.
