Kiki Mordi kicks as Channels TV reporter, wife reconcile
Journalist Kiki Mordi has expressed displeasure at the news of the reconciliation between Channels TV reporter, Pius Angbo, and his wife, Ifeanyiwa.
The wife had taken to social media with a video showing bruises on her face which she sustained as a result of domestic violence from her husband.
She claimed he descended on her after she advised him to spend money wisely and not on women.
The video of her call out forced a reaction from Channels TV where her husband works.
The media house tweeted that it “does not condone violence against women or anyone in general.
“The domestic violence matter reported against one of our reporters is being investigated and appropriate action will be taken.”
Meanwhile, the rift between the couple was on Monday settled at a press conference organized by Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State. There the couple forgave and hugged each other in the presence of men of the press.
Reacting to the picture from the reconciliation, Kiki Mordi said that it portrays “an abuser hugging his victim on the instructions of a sitting governor.”
In another tweet, she said, “With blood still fresh on his victim’s face, (the) abuser is doing photo op with governor.”
She added: “Imagine another victim that was considering speaking up… to end up snapping picture(s)?”
Concerning Angbo, Kiki Mordi said that “he will strike again.”
