Kidnapped NYSC member, Faith Onyiwara, rescued in Lagos
The police in Lagos has rescued Chinwe Faith Onyiwara, a member of the National Youth Service Corps, who was abducted by suspected kidnappers.
Onyiwara was rescued on Tuesday by Hakeem Odumosu, Commissioner of Police in Lagos and Coordinator of the Police Service Commission.
According to Bala Elkana, spokesperson for the command, Onyiwara serving at ABC Farm, Ilamija Nla Village, was abducted on Friday, November 29.
He said,
“The kidnappers’ ring leader, Moses Ofeye, 31 from Ondo State, was arrested with gun wounds.
“The victim was taken to hospital for medical attention due to the shock and trauma she experienced and long distance trek. But she is in stable condition.
“She has just been handed over to the Lagos State Coordinator of the NYSC and her family by the Commissioner of Police.”
