Katsina State Commissioner for Science and Technology Dr Rabe Nasir Bindawa has been killed by gunmen, The Nation reports.

According to further reports that the former Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Masari on Science and Technology was killed in his Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis this afternoon (Thursday).

Bindawa was said to have gone missing on Wednesday night but his remains were reportedly discovered in the pool of his blood inside his toilet about 24 hours after.

A source said “The body was found when one of the cooks went to Dr Nasir block and knocked without any response. He later observed some signs of blood inside the apartment.

“The cook raised an alarm. He quickly informed the commissioner’s police orderly who rushed to the scene and discovered that the commissioner’s remains were locked inside the toilet in the deceased’s bedroom.”

Meanwhile, another source was quoted by media reports as saying that “The body of the slain commissioner is still inside the residence as I speak to you now.”
