Kano police set to investigate death of 28-year old, mother of six
The Kano State Police Command, on Thursday, said it has commenced discreet investigation, to establish the circumstances that led to the death of a 28-year-old mother of six, Range Musa, on Wednesday in Kano.
In an update that reached newsmen yesterday, over the unfortunate incident, spokesman of the Kano State Police Command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, said the Command, on Wednesday received a distress call at the scene of a fire incident at Sabuwar Unguwar in Ungogo Local Government Area.
Following the call, a team of police officers rushed to the scene and rescued the charred body of the house wife and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where Doctors on duty confirmed her dead.
According to him, the Criminal Investigation Department of the Command had already commenced investigation into the incident, so as to ascertain whether she committed suicide or was consumed by the fire that erupted at their home.
However, he assured that as soon as investigation was completed, the Command will address a press conference to confirm the cause of her death.
It would be recalled that the house wife was said to have committed suicide, in Kano after setting herself ablaze.
Rabi Musa left no suicide note but neighbours, said she might have ended up frustrated,upon realizing that her husband, Badamasi Sufyan, took another wife, six months ago.
A neighbour said, Rabi, who died pregnant, set herself ablaze when her husband went to pray at a nearby mosque.
When her husband returned home, he found his wife in flames and shouted for help.
