Kaduna varsity extends three principal officers tenure
The Governing Council of Kaduna State University on Monday announced the extension of tenure of three principal officers of the university by one year.
The affected officers are the university Registrar, Mr Samuel Manshop; the Bursar, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim; and the university Librarian, Prof. Abdullahi Musa.
The university’s Public Relation Officer, Mr Adamu Bargo, in a statement in Kaduna State said Manshop’s tenure was extended from March 16, 2022, to March 15, 2023.
Bargo added that the Bursar’s tenure was equally extended from December 21, 2021, to December 2022, while that of the librarian was extended from February 12, 2022, to February 11, 2023.
“All the three principal officers are to liaise with members of the University Management Committee for the smooth administration of the University, and report to Council on all policy matters for further guidance.
“The appointments are valid for the said period, pending the appointment of substantive Principal Officers,” Bargo said.
The News Agency of Nigeria recalls that the governing council had earlier announced the appointment of Prof. Yohanna Tella as Acting Vice-Chancellor of the university.
Tella, erstwhile Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), took over from Prof. Muhammad Tanko, whose five-year tenue has elapsed.
