Nigerian singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has reacted to the re-arrest of the convener of #RevolutionNow protest Omoyele Sowore by operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS).
Davido said justice is slowly becoming a thing of the past in Nigeria.
Sowore and Olawale Bakare were re-arrested inside the courtroom of the Federal High Court, Abuja while waiting for the commencement of their trial on Friday morning.
In several videos presently making the rounds on social media, DSS operatives were seen struggling to arrest the duo barely 24 hours after releasing them on Thursday.
Davido, tweeting via his verified Twitter handle @iam_davido described the incident as a sad event.
He tweeted:
“Justice slowly becoming a thing of the past n our dear country …. a kid somewhere in Nigeria dreaming of becoming a lawyer and bettering the community would see this and start having doubts … just sad.”
