JUST IN: Two abducted Bethel School students rescued by police

Security Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have rescued two of the abducted students of Bethel Baptist Secondary school in Chikun Local Government Area of the state.

Channels reports that the students were rescued on Wednesday evening by police operatives in Rijanna area along the Kaduna-Abuja highway.

Confirming the rescue, the spokesman for the state police command, Mohammed Jalige, revealed that two abducted students are currently undergoing medical examination at a police medical facility.

WuzupNigeria reported that over 100 students of Bethel Baptist secondary school in Chikun local government area of Kaduna state were abducted when hoodlums stormed the hotels around 1am on July 8.

A follow-up report by WuzupNigeria revealed that one of the students whose name was given as Abraham Aniya, was rescued by security operatives along with two other victims who were abducted by bandits some days ago along the Kaduna-Kachia highway on Tuesday.

The bandits are reportedly demanding the sum of N60m as a ransom for the release of the kidnapped students.
