Some Taxi drivers have stormed the Federal Secretariat, at the country’s capital, Abuja, on Monday to kick against the alleged harassment and collection of illegal levies by officials of the Vehicle Inspection Officers.

The Taxi drivers gathered in large numbers to protest against unlawful charges by the Vehicle Inspection Office, causing gridlock along the road.

Union leaders are stopping other Taxi drivers and forcing passengers to drop from vehicles while drivers are being compelled to join in the protest.
