JUST IN: Baba Ijesha granted bail on medical ground
Embattled Nollywood actor, Olarenwaju Omiyinka otherwise known as Baba Ijesha has been granted bail on medical ground.
Baba Ijesha has been detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department since April 22 for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl.
The case has generated backlash from Nigerians including celebrities and the Lagos State government.
According to PUNCH, his lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana, confirmed the development on Monday.
“He has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds,” he added.
