JUST IN: Abducted village head regains freedom in Ibadan
Baale Tafa Apanpa, the head of Araromi Idowu Community, who was kidnapped some days ago, has been released by his abductors today.
It would be recalled that Apanpa and his wife were whisked away by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Tuesday at his Araromi residence.
When contacted, Chairman of Ido Local Government, Hon Sheriff Adeojo, had promised to fast track the release of the duo, noting that he had opened discussions with all relevant security agencies in the state.
However, the village head was released alongside his wife on Thursday, Oyo Affairs reports.
Their release was further confirmed by Ido Council chairman.
