Feranmi Fasunle Omowunmi, a student at the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, (AAUA) Ondo State, has reportedly committed suicide.

The deceased, a Political Science student with the matriculation number 180503006, reportedly died after swallowing a dangerous insecticide, ‘Sniper’, on Wednesday.

It was gathered that Omowunmi may have taken her own life over a failed relationship though her friends denied she was into any romantic affair since she gained admission to the university.

WUZUPNIGERIA further learnt that in a bid to save her life, she was rushed to the institution’s health centre from where she was again taken to the Specialist Hospital in lkare, from where she was referred to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Owo.

However, attempts to rescue her proved abortive when she died at the FMC, Owo on Thursday while she was about to be referred to the Afe Babalola University Teaching Hospital in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state.
