He died of hunger, witnesses say as man slumps dead in Delta
An unidentified man has reportedly slumped dead at the popular Igbudu market, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was learnt that the yet to be identified man went to the market to buy foodstuffs when he slumped and died.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Tuesday morning at about 9:00am.
“The man was buying foodstuffs, after buying tomatoes and pepper he wanted to buy fresh fish. Somebody directed him where to go and buy the fish,” a source said.
“On his way going to were he will get the fresh fish, he slumped and died.
“The man died as a result of hunger. The man was moving like someone who has not eaten for days”
When contacted for comments, the State Police Public Relations Officer PPRO Onome Onovwakpoyeya confirmed the incident.
She said,
“It is true, but we don’t know what happened, we are not doctors. The man just slumped and died.”
