Gunmen kill five in Rivers community attack

Gunmen believed to be members of the Iceland cult group have left five people dead in an attack in Odiemerenyi Community, Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The attackers reportedly ambushed a police patrol van earlier but missed their target, proceeding to unleash violence on the community.

A source in the community linked the attackers to the wanted Iceland cult group, responsible for the killing of the Ahoada Police Division’s DPO, SP. Bako Angbashim.

The attack took place early on Sunday, November 12, with some victims identified as Charles Osu, Ogbobula Ejee, Eeje Idaowukwo, and two others.
