The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon Patrick Aghamba, has been reportedly kidnapped.
According to the Daily Post, it was reported that the commissioner was whisked away alongside his wife by unknown gunmen.
Sources revealed that the assailants shot dead an aide to the commissioner, identified as Mr ABK Offiah.
However, while no security agency or government has yet issued an official statement to confirm the development, reports are that the commissioner, his wife, and their aide were en route to Abuja when the assailants attacked.
It is believed they were traveling to participate in the wedding of the state governor’s daughter, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, whose traditional wedding took place last weekend.
